Similarly, as the election approached, Military Chief Min Aung Hlaing, on December 1 in Pyin Oo Lwin, officially urged civil servants to vote only for candidates who can work cooperatively with the military. He emphasized that voters should select parties or representatives who can safeguard the nation and regional interests, uphold their responsibilities, and maintain strong alignment with the military, which is portrayed as the most stable institution in the country.
