The majority of the illegal Myanmar junta’s Union Election Commission (UEC) are sanctioned

They have been sanctioned by the EU and Canada since 2021 for their role in illegally annulling the results of the 2020 election without any evidence of fraud, and for undermining democracy and rule of law. These UEC members, handpicked by war criminals, are now tasked with orchestrating a sham “election” designed to falsely legitimise the illegal junta.
