For the military junta’s upcoming election, some embassies abroad have begun accepting early voting from overseas Myanmar citizens as of December 2. However, reports from overseas Myanmar communities indicate that very few people are actually showing up to vote. In the UAE, at the junta’s embassy in Abu Dhabi, early voting booths have been set up, but among Myanmar residents in that country, there is no word of anyone participating in the vote, according to a Myanmar worker based in Dubai.
